Annie’s Place Back-up Weekend Care for Hospital Employees
Backup weekend childcare for all hospital employees of Parkland and Children’s Health.
Annie’s Place Back-up Care is open to all Parkland hospital employees Monday through Sunday. Additionally, it is open to both Parkland and Children’s Hospital employees with scheduled shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Backup care is designed to provide short-term assistance when regular childcare is unavailable. Examples include:
· Change in work schedules
· School/Daycare closures and holidays
· Primary care provider illness/vacation (i.e., nanny, grandparent, etc.)
Annie’s Place at Parkland is located at 2131 Butler Street, Dallas, TX 75235.
Annie's Place's Hours of Operation are from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Early Bird hours begin at 6:30 AM and After Care, hours go until 7:30 PM. Early and late hours are reserved for employees whose work is scheduled outside regular operating hours.
Annie’s Place does not accept walk-ins. To ensure a smooth process when you need back-up care, we kindly encourage you to complete the enrollment form in advance. This way, you’ll be all set when the need arises.
Enrollments are good for one year of service.

Once you fill out the registration form, a member of our staff will be in touch by phone to complete the process. Please allow 1-2 days for the process to be complete.
To make a childcare reservation at Annie’s Place Parkland:
· Only families that have enrolled in the Backup Care program will be able to reserve a childcare spot and receive the link to sign up.
· Reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The reservation link will open at 7:00 AM on the Monday before each weekend. Each hospital has a set number of childcare spots available.
· Making a reservation is not a guarantee of a spot. You must receive a confirmation with your child’s schedule.
· If spots fill up for the weekend, you will be put on a waitlist. Spots that are not reserved by Thursday will open to anyone on the waitlist and confirmations will go out Thursday afternoons.
Children must be well and fever-free and not in isolation/quarantine per current CDC guidelines on the day of the childcare appointment, and household members must not be COVID-19 positive or symptomatic. For a copy of our parent handbook and more information visit our Annie’s Place Parkland page.
